The GI ASCO transition home has now been running for a few months and we have got off to a fantastic start. The house has been painted and is looking much brighter.
This week we have welcomed Arama as our new Social Work intern as part of his certificate with Kampala University.
We have also been able to make out first office, its great to have space to work but also a quiet area to have review meetings with the boys etc.
Currently 3 boys are sharing each room. Twaha has now secured employment and has started buying his own furniture and items in preparation for independent living

Lokiru campaigned and was successful in being elected Head Boy of Kiira Primary! Yusef is busy studying for his end of primary school exams.
Stephen has been elected as disciplinary prefect and Musa was successful in his campaign to be voted Head Boy of Naranbhai!
Peter and Luka have continued at Victoria NIle and are now in primary 6.
Kiira boys were very proud of their new uniforms this term. Michael is the new Scouts leader, Lomer has been elected PIASCY prefect, Peter P and Moses have been elected as general prefects.

School homework can take a few hours most evenings, it was great having Charlie Walpole to give some one to one support to those who needed it, A day swimming as a weekend treat was also very appreciated!
The boys were sad to say farewell to Uncle Charlie (Walpole) this weekend, but very thankful for the time and kindness he has shown to them. Thank you Charlie!
